Billa 2 to start by June end

Ajith`s eagerly awaited Billa 2 will kickstart by end of June. Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti and is a prequel to the 2007 Ajith`s Billa.

Huma Qureshi, a Mumbai model, is the heroine. The others in the cast are Prabhu, Rahman, KK. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Chakri Toleti said: "Billa 2 would focus on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal Tuthukudi in South Tamil Nadu, becomes `Billa`, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith reprising the role of the titular character."

Ajith who is currently shooting the climax of Venkat Prabhu directed Mankatha in Hyderabad and will take a break once the film is over. He will have a new look for Billa 2 in which he has to appear as a youngster in his early twenties.

Billa 2 is produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group company IN Entertainment.
