Jwala to release on May 7th

Film maker Kodhanda Rami Reddy's son Vaibhav and 'Sambho Siva Sambho' fame Abhinaya starrer 'Jwala' will release on May 7th. This film is dubbed version of Tamil film 'Eesan' that released last year. Samudrakani, Aparna Bajpai play important roles and James Vasanthan composed tunes for the film.

M Sasikumar who had directed blockbuster film 'Subramaniapuram' is the director for this flick. He also produced this film in Tamil. Now Mr K Venugopal is presenting the dubbed version of this movie in Telugu.

"It has all the commercial elements in the film. It is a socio political drama that our youth can relate to. Sasikumar has done a good job as director. The movie did farely well in Tamil and we hope it does good business in Telugu market. We are releasing it on May 7th" K Venugopal said.

S R Kathir is the cinematographer for this project.

Mass Maharaja Raviteja, though suffered a flop like ‘Shock’ with Harish Shankar, gave him another opportunity to direct him and ensured a hit to the director with ‘Mirapakay’ produced by Ramesh Puppala on the banner of Yellow Flower.

The producer had announced that he would do his next film with the same combination. It is learnt that the director penned yet another romantic entertainer and had also finalized the title as ‘Subrahmanyam For Sale’.

However, this would be officially announced by the producer during the 100 days function of ‘Mirapakay’.

Harish Shankar is presently busy with Pawan Kalyan’s forthcoming flick ‘Gabbar Singh’, the remake of Bollywood hit film ‘Dabang’ and Raviteja is also busy in the final leg of shooting of ‘Veera’ directed by Ramesh Varma and produced by Ganesh Indukuri on the banner of Saanvi Productions.

Nitya Menon turns busy in Telugu

Nitya Menon, who made her debut with ‘Ala Modalaindi’, became a busy heroine in Tollywood. She had signed at least six films now in Telugu.

She is now doing a film ‘Ishq’ opposite Nithin. Her film ‘180’ with Siddhartha as hero is getting ready for release very soon. Her film ‘Veppam’ in Tamil wherein she paired up with Nani is being dubbed into Telugu as ‘Sega’. That film is also set for release this month.

Not only these, she had also committed for some more films. Though a little short over all the heroines of the present generation, Nitya Menon was able to convince the directors that she could deliver good performance and hence bagging good amount of opportunities.

Vanthaan Ventraan Two songs left

The year 2011 is promising a lot for Jeeva, for the actor is going to have back to back releases. After ‘Singam Puli’ and ‘Ko’, his two other films- ‘Rowthiram’ and ‘Vanthaan Ventraan’ are getting ready to hit the screens.

“Only two songs are left to be shot as far as ‘Vanthaan Ventraan’ is concerned. A romantic love story, it has been well filmed by director Kannan of ‘Jayam Kondan’ and ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ fame,” say circles close to the unit.

‘Aadukalam’ girl Tapsee is playing Jeeva’s heroine in the film. “I am really expecting a lot from everyone and everything in the film,” the north Indian actress wrote on her microblogging page.

On his part, director Kannan says, “Many say ‘Vanthaan Ventraan’ is a remake. It is an original story which draws no inspiration from any movie. Jeeva and Tapsee have made a great pair.”

Mankatha single track to release next week

The celebrations have started from the past couple of days and it is going to be a never-ending jubilation amongst ‘Thala’ fans until Mankatha hits the screens.

Though, Mankatha has to release on May 1st Thala’s birthday but it couldn’t happen as the shoot got delayed. But the director has released a song trailer of Mankatha on May 1 on you tube on Thala's birthday as treat for all his fans. The song teaser runs for 43secs ‘Teaserae Ippadina, Appo Padam’ – Ah! The teaser was outstanding and was beyond the expectations of his fans and also for the fans of other actors.

Latest buzz we hear is that director Venkat Prabhu and Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja are in plans of releasing a single track from the album of Mankatha. The full track of Vilayaadu Mankatha will be out by next week. Sony BMG the official audio right holders and Cloud Nine Movies the producers of Mankatha were enthralled over the big response for the teaser trailer. They also felt that the trailer is going to keep the fans adhered to the film with similar effects.

Besides this Thala has celebrated his birthday in a low key affair and a day before his birthday he has dissolved all his fan clubs which was shocking news for all his fans.

Tamanna asks 1.25 Crore to Kiss Kamal

The combo of director KS Ravi Kumar and Kamal Haasan has given many films like Avvai Shanmugi, Panja Thanthiram, Dasavadharam and Manmadhan Ambu, now latest we hear is that the director is in plans to direct a full length comedy film once again with Universal Star Kamal Haasan.

Coming to heroine, the director felt that Tamannah will be the perfect match for Kamal and he approached her for call sheets. In Kamal’s films it’s routine to have Lip locking scenes, keeping this in mind Tamannah asked the director whether there were any Lip locking scenes. K S Ravikumar replied “Off course yes and it may not limit to one if the story line demands. The actress was initially timid of doing kissing scenes but she accepted the offer finally with a demand of Rs. 1.25 crore as her remuneration.

The director and producer under went a shock over the demand made by the Sindhi girl.

Vishal's new Movie to be titled as Prabhakaran?

Vishal's forthcoming project directed by Prabhu Deva is likely to be titled as Prabhakaran or Prabha.

The film is an action packed entertainer in which Vishal plays the role of a cop. This is not the first time he playing the role of a cop as his film Sathyam featured him in the role of an Assistant Commissioner of Police. The film is the remake of Telugu film Souryam which has Gopichand and Anushka in the lead roles. Sameera Reddy is playing the female lead in Prabhakaran while Vivek provides the required comedy elements to the film.

Prabhu Deva has recently canned an item number on Vishal and Sophie Choudary in the set erected in Chennai. Now the climax scenes are being shot at Bidar a small town near Hyderabad. The shooting is almost on the heels of completion and film is scheduled for to release on August 15 on the eve of Independence Day.

Vijay Antony is scoring the music. G.K Film Corporation is producing the film.

Avan Ivan clears censor with U/A

Vishal and Arya starrer Avan Ivan directed by Bala has been awarded with U/A certificate by the Regional Censor Board.

Avan Ivan is a full length comedy entertainer, Vishal will be seen as a squint eyed boy and Arya plays his brother. Both of them have gone for a complete make over for this film and have given their best. Janani Iyer and Madhu Shalini play the female leads in the film. The audio which was released recently was an average scorer as many felt that few songs are not trendy and is not made as per today’s genre. But it can be noted here that Yuvan has crooned the tune according to the plot of the film.

Kalpathi S. Aghoram of AGS Entertainments has produced the film. Arthur A. Wilson and Sreekar Prasad have done the cinematography and editing respectively.

Avan Ivan is tentatively slated for a May 20th release.

Mankatha in Bangkok from May 10

This particular stunt scene will be canned in Bangkok from May 10th and only few members from the cast and crew are selected for this abroad schedule. The team is going to leave to Bangkok within a couple of days and the last schedule will be completed in one go. Director Venkat Prabhu though failed to release the film or the audio for Thala’s birthday but was able to make Thala’s fans happy by releasing a teaser song “Vilayadu Mankatha…” on the web.

Ajith plays the role of Vinayak Mahadevan which comes with grey shades while Arjun plays the role of a cop.

Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to be one of the major highlights of Mankatha.

Real need an away win by at least two goals to go through to their first final since 2002. Curiously, the last time they achieved an away victory by two goals in the knockout stages of the CL was in the semi-finals in that year - against Barcelona.
Real coach Jose Mourinho's teams have lost their last three CL semi-final away games by the same score of 1-0. Chelsea lost to Liverpool by that score in 2005 and 2007 and Inter Milan went down 1-0 to Barcelona last season.
