Kanimozhi denied Bail - May 20 2011 - Kanimozhi Arrest likely - DMK MP Kanimozhi could be arrested - 2G Scam Bail Order - Karunanidhi Daughter - Kalaignar TV Share holder Sharad Kumar

CBI special court today May 20 2011 (Friday) denied bail for Kanimozhi. She might be arrested and sent to Tihar Jail

Kanimozhi holds 20% share in Kalignar TV. Sharad Kumar MD Kalignar Tv holds another 20% and Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal holds 60% share in DMK channel.

Kalaignar TV allegedly received Rs. 214 crore from Swan Telecom through third party entities. Swan Telecom was allotted 2G Licence and Spectrum during A Raja's tenure.

CBI Lawyer argued against bail plea to Kanimozhi, Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, saying that they are influential people and could tamper with evidence

CBI argument: in Court:

- Kanimozhi was the controlling mind behind Kalaignar TV.

- Kalignar TV capital went up from 10 crore rupees to Rs. 200 crores with no documents.

- False records were created to show return of money trail.

- Kani had participated in day to day affairs of Kalaignar TV. Kani is as responsible as others.

- Kanimozhi was in constant touch with Raja over the formation of Kalaignar TV. This led to transfer of money to DMK Channel.

Meanwhile CBI sought judicial custody of Kanimozhi and Sharad Kumar on May 7 2011
