In what is called a glittering ceremony Prince William and Kate Middleton were married at the Westminster Abbey today witnessed live on television by 2 billion people around the world.
The ceremony was conducted by Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. Kate wore an ivory silk and satin traditional outfit with a long train. She was seen wearing late Princess Diana’s sapphire ring.
The guests at the abbey were limited to 1,900. But the streets of London wore a festive look with thousands waiting to catch a glimpse of the Royal couple.
