F1 Spanish Grand Prix 2011 Live Streaming, Highlights

2011 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix motor race is the fourth race of the 2011 Formula One calendar and scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Circuit de Catalunya, Montmeló, Spain.

The first and the second free practices will be on Friday the 20th May and the third free practice and qualifying will be on Saturday 21st May with actual race on Sunday. Circuit de Catalunya continues to have one of the best tracks but most drivers’ say that its one notorious track that wouldn’t allow for overtaking. But this year with the DRS (Drag Reduction System) and KERS in place the track holds some excitement in store for the drivers, teams believe. This could be the first good test for the changes including the tyres, DRS and the KERS. The long corners will test the stability of the car as well as its aerodynamics. Coupled with long corners the slow corners which are also a few at lap end test the traction strength.

However, it is the turn 3 that is known to be the most demanding corner; it’s a long uphill right hand turn and every time drivers experience a change in lap time when they lift off of the throttle for the sligftest time to fight oversteering, and it kind of affects their time lag in the lap.

The AT&T Williams has done a good testing at the Circuit de Catalunya for over 10 years now and no one knows the track as much as they do.
